Getting Started

Installation

Download PocketVault for your platform from the download page. No account creation is required.

First launch

When you first open PocketVault, you’ll be guided through a brief setup:

  1. Choose your default currency - Select from USD, INR, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, or AUD
  2. Enable biometric lock (optional) - Protect the app with fingerprint or face recognition
  3. Set up your accounts - Add your bank accounts, credit cards, or wallets

Adding your first transaction

Tap the floating action button (+) and select Add Transaction:

  • Enter the amount
  • Choose a category (or let AI suggest one)
  • Add a note (optional)
  • Select the date
  • Save

Importing existing data

If you have transaction history from another app or your bank:

  1. Go to Settings > Import
  2. Choose your import format (CSV, OFX, or SMS)
  3. Select your file
  4. Map columns if needed
  5. Review and import

Exploring the app

PocketVault has four main sections accessible from the bottom navigation:

  • Dashboard - Overview of your finances, savings goals, investments
  • Transactions - List of all your expenses and income
  • Statistics - Charts and spending breakdowns
  • Settings - Preferences, import, security, AI settings
