More Free. Better Premium. Here's What Changed.

We restructured our tiers to better match our values. The short version: 8 features moved to free, Premium is now focused on advanced analytics, and Supporter is cheaper and gives you more.

What moved to free

These features are now available to every PocketVault user at no cost:

  • Multi-currency — 7 currencies including USD and INR
  • Custom categories
  • Budget rollover
  • Bill reminders
  • Goal milestones
  • PDF export
  • Tags & split transactions
  • Natural language queries

Why

These features are core to what PocketVault promises. Gating multi-currency behind a paywall while positioning ourselves as the app for NRIs didn’t sit right. Gating PDF export while saying “your data, your control” was contradictory. So we fixed it.

P2P sync, shared expenses, and current import methods (CSV, PDF, SMS, bank notifications, and desktop OCR) were also already part of the free experience and remain so.

What Premium is now

Premium is focused on advanced analytics — the features you want after you’ve been tracking for a few months and want to understand the bigger picture:

  • Advanced reports & spending trends
  • Year-over-year comparisons
  • Income vs expense analysis (waterfall & bar breakdowns)
  • AI spending forecasts & anomaly detection
  • Net worth history timeline
  • Recurring transaction auto-detection
  • Home screen widgets
  • Enhanced investment analytics (historical P&L)

Pricing: $12/year for founding members (normally $30/year). The founding member price is locked in for your account forever.

Supporter update

The Supporter tier dropped from $49.99 to $29.99 and now includes lifetime premium access. That’s every premium feature, forever, for less than the cost of one year at the standard Premium price.

You also get:

  • Early access to in-progress features
  • Supporter badge in your profile
  • Priority feature requests

If you already bought Supporter at a previous price, you get lifetime premium too — you got more value, not less.

What this means for existing users

  • Free users: You just got 8 new features. Open the app — they’re already there.
  • Premium subscribers: Nothing changes for you. Your subscription continues as before.
  • Supporters: You now have lifetime premium access. No action needed.

Nobody loses anything. That’s how it should work.
